As I am sitting here at work, waiting for the clock to strike noon so I can get out of here and make it to my 12:15 nail appointment, I can't help but let my mind wander to the excitement of tonight and reminisce on past Thanksgiving Eves.
The Wednesday before Thanksgiving is my favorite night of the whole year. Since I turned 21 it has been one of the main reasons why Fall is my favorite season. Everyone comes home for the holiday and we all get together. A few bars in town have always advertised that their spot is the place to be but everything was always so crowded, so a few of my good friends decided to come up with a kick ass solution to the problem where everyone can be together...
The PACC (Portuguese American Civic Club) in my hometown has an upstairs function room that for the last three years my friends have rented out for the occasion. Beers are $2.50, we rent a DJ, we put together a photo booth, charge everyone $10 bucks a ticket and THEN we donate all the proceeds to Saint Jude's. The girls pregame by sipping on a jalapeno margarita or red sangria at El Mariachi's and the boys meet and drink beer and play Mario Kart and then we all meet up for the 7 p.m. start time. It's Taunton living at it's finest.
Its awesome. Everyone has a ton of fun catching up with people who have moved away or just drinking with their good buddies with enjoying cheap beer and tapping their toe to Trap Queen.

Got to love when drinking and good causes combine.
Cheers!
