SOOOO I received a phone call this morning informing me that the raffle I entered while I was at the Flower Show with my mom on Sunday was pulled and I was the WINNER. My mind immediately went to thinking that I won a gift card to target or a restaurant.com voucher. OH NO.
The overly friendly lady on the other end of the phone told me I won a $50 dining gift card valid at over 300 restaurants, a 3 day 2 night stay at one of 30 different hotels AND 4 round trip airfare tickets to anywhere in the world worth up to $4500. I THINK I BECAME LUCKY OVER NIGHT.
Now side note: I have to go listen to a 45 minute presentation on the travel agency that I won the prize through tomorrow night two towns over from me but it comes with complimentary beverages and snacks AND I am not obligated to buy anything and I get the prizes no matter what. TWIST MY ARM WHY DON’T YOU. The best part is I can split up the tickets 2 and 2 so I plan on taking my mom on a trip and my lovely boyfriend on one as well.
All of this travel talk obviously led me to doing some research on where I would want to go. It’s always fun to think about “if I could go one place in the world where would it be?” but now that the opportunity is right in front of me the decision is way harder than I thought. I have two years to use the tickets and the opportunities are endless.
Will I go to Australia or London? Ireland or Aruba? No friggin clue. But it’s so fun to imagine where I will end up choosing. I promise to keep you updated on my thought process through all of this. Let the planning begin!
